Purpose
The EU LIFE programme offers the possibility to submit proposals in the following four areas:
- Nature and Biodiversity
- Circular Economy and Quality of Life
- Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
- Clean Energy Transition
Regrettably, Curacao has scarcely utilized the EU funds available through the LIFE program. Proposals are seldom submitted. A needs assessment has revealed that a significant number of potential applicants lack the requisite skills to formulate high-quality proposals. Consequently, the EU Desk of the Ministry of Economic Development intends to seize the opportunities presented by the LIFE-2024-TA-CAP call to procure funding for training local organizations in proposal writing within the framework of the EU LIFE program.
Approach
Based on the European Commission’s Call LIFE-2024-TA-CAP, Scientegia Solutions, in collaboration with LUCA 360, and in close consultation with the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), has developed a proposal. This proposal has been submitted to the European Commission by the MEO.
